Marketed under the brand name Zurzuvae, the pill works faster than general antidepressants and only needs to be taken for two weeks. By emphasizing the biological underpinnings of postpartum depression specifically, physicians hope it will increase awareness and reduce associated stigma. The pill replenishes levels of a brain hormone called allopregnanolone with a synthetic version, helping regulate mood.

On Friday morning, Oregon and Washington announced they will be leaving the Pac-12 to join the Big Ten. Shortly after, Arizona, Arizona State, and Utah announced they will join the Big 12. The Pac-12 commissioner presented a media rights deal with Apple that was less than offers in the Big 10 and Big 12. This leaves sixteen teams in the Big 12, eighteen in the Big 10, and only four in the Pac-12.
